Welcome to Crack Tunes! Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our Discord music bot.
Information We Collect
- User Data: We may collect your Discord username and ID to provide personalized features.
- Server Data: Information about the servers where Crack Tunes is added, including server ID and settings.
- Usage Data: We collect data on how you interact with the bot, such as commands used and music played.

Web Dashboard
The Crack Tunes dashboard at dash.cracktun.es shows a server’s music queue to members of that server. It also lets members reorder the queue while they are in the bot’s voice channel. You sign in with Discord, and we ask Discord only for the identify permission. We never receive your email address, your list of servers, or your messages.
In your browser, a signed cookie holds your Discord user ID and username for 24 hours. While you are signing in, two more cookies protect that step, and they expire after 10 minutes.
On our server, in memory only, we keep a record for each person who has signed in since the bot last restarted. It holds the profile Discord returns when you sign in, which is your user ID, username, display name and avatar URL, along with a Discord refresh token. Signing out discards the refresh token, and a restart of the bot discards everything. None of this is written to a database.
To decide whether you may view a server’s queue, the bot asks Discord whether you are a member of that server and remembers the answer for five minutes.
In our logs, we record your user ID and username when you sign in and out, and your user ID when you move a track. Logs are used to operate and troubleshoot the bot.
A track you move is also recorded in the queue history described below.
Queue History
When the queue in a server changes, Crack Tunes records what changed and who changed it. This covers adding, removing, moving and skipping tracks, pausing and resuming, clearing, shuffling and stopping the queue, and the bot leaving the voice channel. It applies whether the change came from a command, the web dashboard, or the bot on its own, such as autoplay or leaving when idle.
Each record holds:
- the time;
- the server and voice channel;
- the text channel a command was used in;
- your Discord user ID, or a note that the bot acted on its own;
- the command;
- the tracks involved, by title and link.
We use these records to operate the bot and to answer questions about who changed a server’s queue, such as when a queue was cleared unexpectedly. They are stored in our database. For now we keep them indefinitely. We plan to reduce older records to daily totals that do not identify anyone, and we will update this policy when we do.
Sharing Your Information
- We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.
- We may share information if required by law or to protect our rights and services.
Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy.
